Hawke Media’s most popular offering is Paid Media, period. With more clients than any other department at Hawke, there’s no shortage of incoming work, don’t you worry! We’re looking for someone to own out programmatic media buying offering in addition to being our go-to chatbot expert. This role will be a 50/50 split of chatbot customization/management and programmatic media buying. This media buyer will be responsible for multiple levels of programmatic campaigns which include: planning, creative development, buying, analytics and optimizing. The ideal candidate is innovative, competitive and enthusiastic about hitting CPA goals and improving their innate skills. As a team player in a full-service digital marketing agency, the media buyer, will collaborate with the other members of our Media team as well as our Business Development team to ensure we are on track with lead delivery requirements and online sales. 

 

Once you’re fully ramped up, you should expect to be working on anywhere from 10-12 clients across all verticals at any given time so if you wouldn’t describe yourself as someone with impeccable multitasking skills, you should *keep scrolling because this isn’t for you* as the kids on TikTok would say. 

 

We look exclusively for self starters when hiring for this team. In your first month you can expect to get your hands dirty and will be shadowing existing campaign managers. The ideal candidate needs to be able to seek answers on their own but knows when it’s time to ask for help.

This person should be flexible, organized and ready to roll up their sleeves anytime a new challenge arises-- and let me be the first to tell you, there are going to be some really bad days (see below.)

Chatbot Responsibilities: 

 

  • Work with chatbot partners like Octane AI or Drift to create custom automated flows for each client
  • Determine and build out channel-specific and relevant chatbot experiences to convey, message, and engage the target audience and drive sales & marketing qualified leads
  • Collaborate with live chat representatives to create a smooth transition between chatbots and live agents
  • Capturing and analyze appropriate data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then acting on the information

 

Programmatic Responsibilities: 

 

  • Oversee planning, buying and optimization of programmatic media
  • Represent programmatic team in internal meetings
  • Socialize and document campaign structure, optimizations, and learnings
  • Collaborate with DSP and publisher partners to negotiate, troubleshoot, and execute buys
  • comfortable with ad operations including tag generation and tag management in addition to building campaigns and managing audiences.

 

 

Skills and Experience: 

 

  • 2+ years of hands-on programmatic buying experience
  • 1 year of chatbot customization experience preferred 
  • Proven ability to develop/implement/improve business processes
  • Advanced user of at least two DSPs 
  • Eagerness to work on the disruptive side of business, with new DSP technologies
  • Comfortable with ad operations including tag generation and tag management in addition to building campaigns and managing audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical concepts relevant to optimization, as well as scientific testing in live media environments
  • Proven ability to thrive in highly independent work environments and maintains attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication while managing multiple clients
