We are currently seeking a qualified and knowledgeable Product Manager to help manage digital, physical and video releases. This person is well versed in the scheduling of products in the digital and physical supply chain and has experience in product and track level metadata entry as well as knowledge of various systems including R2, RWS, Media Portal and Bitmax. This person also understands royalties and copyright clearances as well as managing global rights. This person will communicate with Release Administrations for set up on New Releases and advise new label partners on best practices and offer suggestions on data amendments to meet UMG requirements.

Job Functions:

  • Manage physical, digital and video releases
  • Scheduling products in Digital & Physical Supply Chain
  • Product & Track level metadata entry & management; including digital product build and asset assignment in R2 & RWS
  • Submission, review and management of digital content and assets according to the Digital Supply Chain rules and standards
  • Coordinate parts orders for audio uploads with Universal Music Studios
  • Manage requests for UPC numbers & generic ISRCs
  • Communicate with Release Administrations for set up on New Releases.
  • Manage Global Rights System
  • Advise new label partners on best practices and offer suggestions on data amendments to meet UMG requirements
  • Coordinate with UMG Royalties & Copyright department on video clearance requests
  • Key point of contact for international releases coming through Caroline for US distribution
  • Manage the content scheduled for release through the Digital Supply Chain from the set-up of the products to the delivery of the finished goods at our digital, mobile and video partners
  • Manage relationships with outside parties, BitMax ect:
  • Manage any partner restrictions/exceptions or rights restrictions on scheduled products
  • Communicate with the UMG Digital Supply Chain to ensure that content and data sent into the Supply Chain meets the required delivery standards of UMG delivery partners

Job Requirements:

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in MS office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Trained in R2 and RWS
  • Trained in Milestone and Legacy
  • Extremely organized and able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of people (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Advanced product knowledge

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in production and operation
  • Proven knowledge and experience in working with physical, digital and video products
  • Proven knowledge and experience in working with royalties, clearances and global rights
  • Proven knowledge and experience with digital and physical supply chain

Education:

  • Minimum 4 years of college with a completed degree
