What is Tend?
We are the premier provider of hospitality and event staffing. In 2019, we grew at 35% CMGR for 2019, and raised a competitive seed round led by Keith Rabois at Founders Fund, joined by SignalFire and others. When COVID hit, we cut all ops and sales employees and focused solely on product development (and continuing to support the few clients that stayed open).
Why are you hiring?
We are now growing at 75% MoM since the beginning of 2021, and need to rebuild our operations team to meet the unprecedented influx of demand that we are seeing.
What should I expect?
You should only apply if you are interested in growing extremely quickly and working extremely hard. We have been a bit blindsided by the pickup in demand (CEO Note: true, that’s on me) and it will be all hands on deck to grow as fast as humanly possible over the next 6 months.
If you / we are successful, it will also in all likelihood be the most lucrative year of your life, both financially, and professionally.
What will I be doing?
As an Operations Manager, you will be handed the keys to one of the core functions of our business, and given the responsibility to execute it and improve it. You’ll spend about 2/33 of your time doing very difficult, painful tasks and the other 1/3 trying supporting a team trying to figure out how to make the other two-thirds less difficult and painful.

What’s compensation?
Total compensation (cash and equity) will be over $65k/year, with a significant increase after our next fundraising round. Exact compensation will depend on the candidate and level of experience.
