Who we are
HopSkipDrive is a mission-driven company that makes life easier for busy families by getting kids where they need to go safely and dependably. We match families with highly-vetted CareDrivers, who have a minimum of 5 years of childcare experience and must pass a mom-approved, rigorous 15-point certification process, which includes extensive background checks, fingerprinting, DMV checks, driver training, and meeting every single driver in person.
We were founded by 3 working moms who have 8 kids among them and who developed HopSkipDrive as a solution to their own problems getting kids where they needed to go. We are a VC-backed company with investment and involvement from nearly every major LA investor including Upfront Ventures, Greycroft and Pritzker, with more than $20M in funding.
We are based in downtown LA, but there is the option for this position to work remotely from Orange County or San Diego. You will be a driving force on a highly collaborative team working to build up and maintain CareDriver supply across the wider San Diego and Orange County region. You will support driver acquisition as well as lead driver activation, training and engagement activities amid a rapidly growing CareDriver base. You provide excellent customer service, have an intense drive and work ethic, a passion for our brand and our mission, a ton of enthusiasm for building new enterprises from scratch, and an execution-focused mindset. This position will be reporting to the Los Angeles/Southern California Supply Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years experience working in startups, sales, customer service, campaigning, operations, engineering, consulting, banking, economics, or a combination thereof;
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, especially when it comes to working empathetically with CareDrivers, meeting with and persuading new clients and stakeholders, and being the ambassador of the HopSkipDrive mission and brand, no matter the environment;
- Solid Excel and data management capabilities;
- Geographic and demographic knowledge of the greater San Diego area;
- An outgoing attitude with an entrepreneurial, execution-focused, get-things-done mindset.
- Willing to travel around the Southern California area.
Primary Responsibilities
- Using existing and identifying new channels to recruit CareDrivers
- Onboarding all new CareDrivers in Greater San Diego and Orange County
- Organize and plan driver events
- Support CareDrivers and applicants at all stages of the driver lifecycle
