Role Overview

InStride is looking for a hybrid Manager, IT Operations to join an amazing education technology company in our Downtown Los Angeles, CA office. Manager, IT Operations will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT-related activities at InStride, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities in coordination with IT Engineers. This role will also be responsible for running the IT, including the employee IT equipment, conference room technology, SaaS applications, security awareness and education, JIRA service desk, application deployment, security, and patching. The Manager, IT Operations will work closely with the Director of IT & Security and decision makers to identify, recommend, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for the organization. Manager, IT Operations is an individual with high energy and an interest in growing their career with a phenomenal company, someone with high attention to detail, strong fundamentals of IT, and a candidate who can join the team in a long-term setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expert at managing IT Automation, Crowdstrike, JAMF, Okta, and Azure Directory services, InTune, and Autopilot. 
  • Inclusively hire, train, and develop a team of IT professionals covering IT Engineer efficiency, AV, vendor management/budget spend, and other functions as we continue to build out a world class IT organization.
  • Join the team in a leadership position and work with IT and Security to provide superior assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
  • Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise the day-to-day technical support activities, including troubleshooting, IT service issues, approvals, events, and installations.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, productive relationship with operational partners and staff.Measure, monitor, and maintain team's ability to meet or exceed contact and resolution Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes.Jumpstart the development of a robust asset inventory system.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a technology-related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of IT experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent customer service experience.
  • Solid grasp of IT service desk performance, including operations, processes, etc.
  • Proficient in Mac, Windows, Okta SSO and MFA integrated SaaS apps, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge in DHCP, SMTP, TCP/IP, and DNS.
  • Understanding of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Zero Trust security model is a plus.

Our base compensation amount for this role is targeted at $135,000 - $203,000/yr. All roles include a variable annual bonus amount. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
