About the Role
GoodRx is looking for a hands-on IT System Administrator to join the Corporate IT team to provide support to the organization. This individual will report to the IT Manager and be tasked with systems administration, network configuration, and end user service and troubleshooting. The IT System Administrator will be a team player who is excited to learn new technologies and provide stellar customer service to our organization members.
Responsibilities:
- Be part of a close-knit team supporting all IT systems, including network infrastructure, workstations, printers, VOIP telephone system, corporate VPNs, directory services, videoconferencing, etc.
- Conduct hardware and software evaluations. Provide technical analysis and implement systems to meet the company’s IT goals
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve and enhance the company’s IT offerings
- Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve hardware and software related problems
- Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT
- Inventory and provide accounting for resources including software, server, laptops, and other IT equipment.
- Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems
- Assist the IT Manager and Security and Compliance team with other related projects and assignments as requested
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred with at least 3 years of hands-on experience, or 5 years of relevant experience and certifications
- Advanced knowledge in Google G Suite administration using tools available in Enterprise Edition
- Advanced knowledge of wired and wireless networking technologies such as 802.1x, Site-to-Site VPN connectivity between on-premise and cloud-hosted VPC network
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server family, Active Directory, VPN configurations and client setup, firewalls, and network switches
- Experience providing support and troubleshooting issues on Mac and Windows based hardware and operating systems
- Knowledge of general office software and services such as Microsoft Office, Adobe CC, Slack, etc.
- Experience with JAMF, JIRA, NetSuite, Palo Alto Networks, or Cisco equipment is a plus
- Strong project management skills: able to scope, plan, prioritize and follow up deliverables, including working with vendors and consultants
- Great problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to break down problems and follow them to a logical solution
- A strong customer-service driven attitude with an understanding of the critical role our IT infrastructure serves to company success
- Excellent organization and communication skills and ability to adapt and adjust to a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
