THE PURPOSE:

The Service Desk Administrator’s role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user help requests and escalating incidents when considered appropriate and necessary to maintain SLA expectations. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as requiring that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the Service Bar level.


THE ROLE:

Provide first line support of incoming requests to the Service Bar. Successful resolution of first line help tickets for users.  Maintains department SLA’s, triage tickets and escalate as needed.  Performs a variety of daily duties to allow continuous operation of company facilities, equipment and operation.  Contributes to the ongoing break/fix Wiki, knowledge base and lessons learned.


CANDIDATE PROFILE:

This is a fast-paced position that requires the successful candidate to have patience, a positive attitude and the desire to learn and grow.  Excellent soft skills and strong writing skills are a necessity.  We are looking for an entry level IT person who wants to start their career at an exciting company that is changing the future.


MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 1 year equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 7 & 10 desktop operating systems.
  • Ability to add, delete, clear jobs for network printers.
  • Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Fluent English language skills.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Any industry certification is a plus.
