Job Summary:
Ruggable is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial IT Manager who is looking to grow in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. As the go-to IT Lead, you will play an integral role in creating a stable, secure organization. This is a unique opportunity to grow with a new brand and take on a large amount of responsibility for the technology direction.
What You'll Do:
- Lead an IT team of hardworking and dedicated individuals that are driving initiatives and operations in a large manufacturing environment.
- Develop strategies for deployment and implement administrative support, monitoring for overall integrity of Ruggable’s end user computing environment.
- Manage, oversee and monitor the service delivery of onsite IT Administrators across offices.
- Develop standards and offer guidance for the implementation/deployment of all end user computing hardware and software.
- Interface with vendors for end user computing strategies and the selection of hardware and software products.
- Develop and implement procedures for problem management, performance monitoring, configuration management, capacity planning, etc., as related to end user computing configurations.
- Manage support for the end user computing environment, including problem tracking, change management, service levels agreements, performance monitoring, capacity planning, software evaluation and selection, and other vendor relationship issues in respect to end user computing systems and hardware and software products.
- Management reporting on the status of onsite support operations, including proposals for changes in environment, cost savings initiatives, and business initiatives.
- Performs project related tasks including managing specific end user computing projects.
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with internal Ruggable departments/teams, managed service providers, and other end user computing vendors.
- Drive the technical direction for the team; Anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges.
- Leading career development initiatives, including coaching and mentorship, for all members of IT Operations.
What You'll Need to Have:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in managing technical teams and end user computing services in a highly dynamic organization.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proven track record managing end user support for rapidly growing companies.
- Experience managing and implementing end user computing projects with associated responsibilities for hardware, software, and service design implementations.
- Thorough understanding of end user computing platforms and technologies including desktop, laptop, and mobile hardware, as well as software and service offerings from major vendors.
- High proficiency in the majority of the following systems: Meraki Equipment, Active Directory, Jamf, BetterCloud, Veeam, ESXi
- Ability to manage multiple end user programs and projects.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
