You Aspire To: 

Take responsibility for accurately tracking incoming and outgoing products. You will use computer software and other technologies to tag items with information/barcodes such as price/quality data and location. You will report all shortages and deficiencies to the Inventory Manager and perform all duties while complying with all safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Development, implementation and operation of new inventory control systems, equipment and processes
• Evaluation of shipping/logistic costs to determine/propose the most cost effective option/s
• Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’s standards
• Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business
• Implementing loss prevention programs to prevent theft
• Obtaining estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs
• Tracking/scanning incoming and outgoing products and updating database
• Loading and unloading deliveries and stocking shelves
• Maintaining a safe approach while using equipment and tools
• Disposal of obsolete inventory per company policies
• Notifying Inventory Manager with shortages and inconsistencies
• Operation of equipment according to training provided
• Implementation of improvement ideas that make the operations and environment safer, more efficient and more enjoyable to work in
• Support training of other team members
• Scheduling/coordinating logistics/distribution/outgoing shipments with 3rd party providers

The activities above will include both US and international locations. The Supply Chain vendors will be providing materials to Heliogen locations around the world. The final Heliogen product installation/ manufacturing sites will also be at Heliogen and customer locations around the world. Visits to supplier locations and various Heliogen sites/ locations (including project sites) will be required

What's Essential:

• A high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate or Diploma
• 3 years’ experience in an Inventory control/operator/clerk or Logistics position.
• Practical experience operating various inventory management processes/equipment with associated high efficiency and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Logistics processes.
• Solid knowledge of data analysis, practical inventory management software use, and continuous process improvement methods.
• Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets with good organizational skills and ability to prioritize, plan and execute.
• Excellent (English) written and communication skills

What's Desirable:

• Support with implementing new inventory control systems
• Supply Chain experience in support of high-volume manufacturing operations
• Startup company experience, including implementation of safe and highly efficient inventory management / logistics solutions
• Certifications from CPIM or CSCP
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, in a safe and controlled manner
• Fork Lift Truck License
• Experience in an automotive, aerospace, and/or consumer goods manufacturing/warehouse/Logistics environment.
