HVAC Technician

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work under HVAC A lead site technician(s) to Maintain, repair, calibrate, troubleshoot HVAC systems including pumps, motors, valves, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, exhaust fans, air compressors, ducting, cold/hot coils, pneumatic actuated TCV's. Test and recharge refrigeration systems. Operate and maintain process water treatment in HVAC related piping.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Journey level with a minimum of 5 - 10 years related experience. Operation and repair of centrifugal chillers up to 500 tons, reciprocating chillers, modular systems, gas-fired boilers, DX units, exhaust fans, cooling towers, water pumps, air compressors, pneumatic controls. Water treatment methods (PH control, testing and adjusting chemical balances).
KNOWLEDGE DESIRED:
Data/spreadsheet tracking of equipment & parts, familiarity of CMMS (computer maintenance management systems). Clean room and laboratory environment HVAC requirements. Industrial safety practices.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job requires ascending/descending ladders & stairs, bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, carrying, and lifting up to 50 pounds and other essential motor skills. Working in confined spaces. Desire to learn new skills. Ability to work in a team environment.
ESSENTIAL SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Driver's license, Section 608 certification as required by (40 CFR part 82, subpart F), under the EPA Clean Air Act requirements This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
EDUCATION DESIRED:
High School Diploma, HVAC certification, Water treatment, and/or other related certifications or training. Candidate who has completed a formalized HVAC apprenticeship program is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be available to work swing or second shift, weekends, and holidays when required.
