Helpdesk Technician

| Greater LA Area

This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to users at our offices in West Hollywood, our warehouses in City of Industry, as well as remote users. Candidate must have reliable transportation to travel to HQ and the warehouses.

The ideal candidate must have experience diagnosing issues related to computer hardware or software, networking equipment, printers, scanners, copiers, VoIP phones, A/V equipment, be able to independently research, select, and implement reasonable solutions, and document resolution and proper operating procedures.

Duties:

  • Set up desks for new hires
  • Conduct new hire orientations
  • First point of contact for break/fix issues
  • Escalate complex issues to senior members of the team as needed
  • Assist with project implementations
  • Maintain asset inventory and prepare reports for IT Director or Managers
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware, software, network and peripherals issues
  • Configure/troubleshoot VoIP phone system
  • Document, monitor, and resolve support tickets for all IT related issues in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot conference room equipment
  • Must be able to operate with high stress situations and heavy workload
  • Frequent travel required to our City of Industry warehouses
  • Provide on-call/after-hours support, system implementations, and upgrades
  • Write technical documents to be used by other technicians
  • Assist with internal office employee moves between floors or buildings
  • Assist in any other directives given by the IT Director or Managers

Skills/Qualifications:

  • College Education; Focus on Computer Systems or related field is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years minimum IT helpdesk experience
  • Experience providing support for Firefox, Chrome, Safari, IE
  • Experience providing desktop support for Windows 7/10 and Mac OSX 10.9+
  • Experience providing desktop support for Microsoft Office Suite 2010, 2013, 2016
  • Experience administering MDM, SSO, enrollment/provisioning systems
  • Must be able to lift 60lbs
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Available to work in the evenings, weekends, or off-hours
  • Familiar with ticketing systems
  • Basic networking experience
  • Able to accept direction/feedback from manager
  • Must have a friendly, positive attitude focused on task completion (Pass Shanna Test)
  • Manage time and prioritize tasks

Preferred Certifications (Not Required)

  • CompTIA A+, Apple ACMT, and/or Network+ Certification
  • Other industry accepted certifications in core IT-related software or industry standards.
