Responsibilities
What you'll do:

  • Defining the global vision & strategy of the category to deliver on financial business objectives
  • Drive global innovation within the category from a customer need perspective
  • Define brand positioning & strategy for the core brands within the category
  • Portfolio growth, expansion & prioritisation
  • Professional guidance and direction to the regional marketing teams
  • Manage the annual operating plan, resource & budget for category globally
  • Effective management and coaching of the regional teams to build organisational capabily and meet business goals
  • Manage prioritisaiton across the regional teams to best meet operational requirements and respond quickly to emerging issues and growth opportunities
  • Provide professional expertise and mentoring to regional marketing teams
  • Identify threats / opportunities to meet market needs and drive sales
  • Develop close working relationship with regional team and leverage their insights and market knowledge
  • Lead the process of choosing & segmenting consumer/practitioner targets for initiatives or other marketing activities
  • Embed cross-functional understanding of consumer/practitioner target, and lead cross function development of plans to unlock growth opportunities
  • Handle multiple analytical projects by focusing on priorities, being decisive, balancing data and intuition and anticipating potential questions and needs
  • Conduct market research where appropriate, analysis and make recommendations
  • Portfolio & innovation accountability & responsibility across the four pillars of innovation
  • Define product lifecycle plans to continually optimise portfolio to deliver against strategic goals
  • Define product/brand points of difference & continous improvement


What you'll need:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline
  • 10+ years' commercial experience in a Marketing role
  • Advanced knowledge of IRI/Nielsen database & ex-factory tools
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office and Business Analytics programs
  • Advance PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Supervisory experience


Desirable

  • Strong knowledge base of Natural Medicine and regulatory environments (highly desirable) and or nutritional supplements industry
  • Experience in pharmacy and health food store channels
  • Demonstrated experience in New Product development, project design and execution
  • Demonstrated experience in Sales forecasting and monitoring
  • Project management skill and demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and in budget


Physical requirements/working conditions:

  • Sits at a computer station, meeting table or work desk for more than two-thirds of each day
  • Stands and walks to other stations and departments throughout the day
  • Uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment most of the day
  • Hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and especially via the telephone
  • Lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; lifts 25 pounds occasionally
  • Exposed to noise levels typical of office environments


Compensation:
The current range for this role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $144,000/yr - $173,785/yr.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
