We’re looking for a skilled, motivated, and reliable Facility Security Officer to join our fast-growing team.

What You’ll Do:

• Work in conjunction with the CISO to 
• Prepare and conduct security education classes and security audits. Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
• Perform status checks on current investigations, determining upcoming reinvestigation dates, and relaying that information back to each employee.
• Conduct security self-inspections, physical security surveys, and threat/vulnerability assessments.
• Interface with government customers on security-related issues.
• Ensure that classified information entrusted to the company is properly safeguarded as outlined in federal controlling instructions.
• Responsible for preparation, management, and interfacing with the Defense Security Service during audits.
• Defense Security Service (DSS) FSO certification required. In-depth working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) and proficiency in using JPAS.
• Thorough knowledge of using/applying US Government online programs such as the Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire (EPSQ), Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), and Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Responsible for the strict adherence to Virtualitics’ Standard Practices and Procedures (SPP).
• Responsible for supervising and directing security measures necessary for implementing the NISPOM and related Federal requirements for classified information
• Ensure adherence to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) rules and corresponding Industrial Security Letters (ISL).
• Responsible for reviewing all access records to ensure employees are submitted for Periodic Reinvestigation (PR) as required.
• Responsible for prompt and accurate reporting of adverse information through JPAS and/or the local CSA.

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
• 5+ years of related experience
• The ability to work independently and remotely in an environment that changes rapidly (we're a startup)
• Must have and be able to maintain an active SECRET security clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen.
