Come join Alfred Music as our Events Administrator! We're excited to bring on a new team member to perform a variety of administrative duties for conventions, including all music educator conferences, workshops, reading sessions, and industry trade shows. The Administrator assists event leads with event logistics including but not limited to supply boxes, freight scheduling, expense reports, booth signage, etc. Are you a musician with entry level administrative or events experience? Do you love both events and music?! If so, this is the perfect job for you! 

What You'll Be Doing as Events Administrator:

  • Providing administrative support for all US Alfred Music sponsored events including, event supply shipments, show decorator orders, order processing, freight tracking, etc.
  • Coordinating company event supplies, supply room, and marketing event technology
  • Coordinating event accounting including clinician expense reports, event invoices, convention cash, etc.
  • Coordinating event signage including quality control, trimming, laminating, and packing of event signage
  • Creating and maintaining event campaigns and clinician databases in SalesForce
  • Creating and running events reporting to assist in high level Marketing reporting needs

To Be Successful In This Position, You Possess: 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google Drive Applications: Docs, Sheets, Slides
  • Exceptional organizational, process, project & event management, analytical and research-related skills
  • Detailed-oriented mindset
  • Ability to proactively prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously within time constraints
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Music business degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 50 lbs+
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel as necessary

Desired Qualifications:

  • Musician and/or knowledge of the fundamentals of music
  • Proven track record in event production
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with travel booking and coordination of itineraries
  • Experience with SalesForce, Concur, AS400, and Adobe PDF/Adobe
