To double down on that success, we’re looking for a director with a proven track record and emphasis on structure and process to lead our operations organization. As the Director of Operations, you’ll track, you’ll develop and execute our overall strategic vision by creating and implementing a comprehensive carrier procurement strategy, and building a world class customer success team.
The ideal candidate is someone with a self-starter mentality who will bring accountability to this role. You'll demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, be a problem solver and be committed to building a world class team. We are looking for someone who is a hands on leader and not afraid to roll up their sleeves.
What you'll get to do
- Work cross-functionally with teams to align with top priorities, defining monthly goals and identifying KPIs for your team
- Create and execute the organization’s overall customer success and carrier relationship visions
- Manage P&L for the Operations team
- Support new geographic, program & market expansion initiatives
- Identify and implement innovative offerings that will improve customer and driver support
- Act as an entrepreneur with the team to get things done with autonomy
- Find, hire and train exceptional customer and driver support talent
- We need to do things quickly and we need to do them well. Striking that balance can be challenging and this needs to be a strength of yours
What success looks like in this role
- 8+ years experience in logistics or freight space
- 5+ years experience leading a team
- Ability to innovate strategic solutions
- Expert on customer-related issues
- Understand market and industry trends
- Proven ability to succeed with minimal guidance
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven ability to take initiative under ambiguous circumstances
- Strong accountability, work ethic, and sense of urgency
- Strong partnership with Sales to build a healthy marketplace
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred but not required
