As the West Coast Director of Operations at Compass, you are a talented and sought after business professional, who is passionate about introducing technology to real estate and is excited to manage and continue to build a best in class Operations team while reporting directly to the General Manager of Southern California. You will ensure operational excellence, strategic planning, and enable the rapid growth of these vital teams. You will work closely with functional leaders in product, engineering, business development and finance teams in New York City.

At Compass You Will:

• Lead cross-functional operations teams to ensure business success and seamless support for Compass’s agents and staff
• Work with Southern California General Manager to drive key strategic decisions
• Develop robust and scalable process for promptly fielding incoming requests from agents and ensure that issues are resolved thoroughly, with a strong customer-service mindset
• Manage operational staff across multiple West Coast offices
• Constantly iterate and improve our processes and effectively keep the organization abreast of improvements

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years of staff management experience, ideally in remote offices
• Experience in business operations, business development or management consulting
• Experience managing teams and multiple projects simultaneously
• Salesforce or other relational database experience strongly preferred
• MBA/advanced degree preferred, but not required
• Strong strategic planning and management skills
• Data driven decision maker with strong analytical thinking
• Solution-oriented mindset and work approach
• Excellent communicator who can effectively manage multiple stakeholders
• Charisma and a natural ability to connect with others
