About the Director, Market Access (Headspace Health) at Headspace:

At Headspace, our mission is to improve the health and happiness of the world. Headspace Health, the digital health subsidiary of Headspace, is pioneering new ways to incorporate mindfulness into digital medicine to help mitigate and treat chronic health conditions. Reporting to the VP/GM of Headspace Health, this individual will be in charge of building and managing relationships with payers.

We are looking for a Director, Market Access to lead the strategy and execution in launching the Headspace Health products to the payer/provider market. The role involves strategic thinking combined with the ability to execute, working closely with our Clinical, Product and other leaders within Headspace.

How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:

  • Lead market access and reimbursement strategies for Headspace Health initiatives across our portfolio. Develop go-to-market payer roadmaps with clear milestones.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Payers to identify needs and opportunities for Headspace Health.
  • Work closely with the rest of the Headspace Health leadership team throughout the product development process to ensure solutions and evidence generation meet requirements of stakeholders including patients, healthcare providers, and payers.
  • Have an understanding of the healthcare reimbursement environment including coverage, coding, and payment, as well as how to implement and manage reimbursement programs.
  • Keep abreast of trends in market access and reimbursement policies that impact the Headspace Health products.
  • Represent Headspace Health in external events and meetings, including payer and provider organizations and public policy forums.

What you’ve accomplished:

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial experience with a successful track record in launching disruptive and innovative technologies and programs to the payer/provider market.
  • Proven understanding of the commercial and government payer landscape, including reimbursement methodologies and pricing/reimbursement authorities’ decision-making process.
  • Strong and proven relationships with commercial payers with a key understanding of the nuances of selling disruptive services and technology to this market.
  • Strong understanding of innovative pricing models, such as value-based models of care delivery.
  • Experience positioning clinical studies in support of reimbursement and economic value propositions to commercial payers.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to work at a peer-level with experienced clinical, technical and commercial experts in other functions.
  • Strategic thinking combined with the ability to execute, to achieve operational excellence in the face of challenging goals.
  • Excels in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment where you can make a clear impact.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

We're located in the heart of Santa Monica on Michigan + Cloverfield, just off the 10 freeway. Bergamont train station is right behind our office.
