About the Director, Healthcare at Headspace:
Headspace is looking for a Director, Healthcare for our healthcare team. Headspace is already being actively used and recommended by healthcare professionals and patients and we’re looking for your help to make Headspace mainstream in healthcare. Reporting to the Head of Healthcare this individual will be in charge of partnership strategy with healthcare organizations, deal negotiations and leading the execution of key initiatives thru management of a cross-functional team to deliver against our mission of “Improving the health and happiness of the world.”
Healthcare is a critical part of our business and is ultimately what lets our product get into the hands of patients, providers, and caregivers. As one of the first members on a growing team devoted exclusively to Healthcare you’ll have a chance to help shape how we work with health partners and maximize success. You will create a playbook to formalize our processes across key health partner segments. You will also work closely with other team members including Partnerships, User Research, Growth, Brand Shop and other Product teams.
How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:
- Develop partnership strategy, negotiate deals, and manage overall relationships with healthcare systems and insurers
- Manage team focused on supporting and growing initiatives with existing partners and building new partnerships
- Work closely with cross-functional partners including, Design, UX, Product, Content, Science, and Engineering teams to ensure a coordinated and deliberate approach toward launching complex projects
What you’ve accomplished:
- BA/BS degree preferred (MBA a plus)
- 10+ years strategy/partnership experience in healthcare via work with or at integrated delivery networks (IDNs), hospitals and/or payers
- Strong background/understanding of healthcare regulations and FDA guidance
- Experience leading/managing large-scale healthcare partnerships with multi-million member organizations
- Ideal candidate has had a leadership role previously, and is able to juggle multiple projects with ease.
- Must have experience building strategies and executing initiatives with cross functional teams in large healthcare organizations (IDNs and payer orgs)
- Well versed in digital health and digital medicine environment
- Familiarity and comfort working in an early- or mid-stage company; readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements
- Strong client management experience; specifically consulting or experience as the primary point of contact for partners
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management skills
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
