Job Summary:
The Director, Grant Management will facilitate research, development, review and editing of grant proposals; conduct basic research for potential funding sources and maintain databases; support administration in development of proposal and grant management including follow up, stewardship, reporting and compliance on behalf of the EinStrong Foundation.
Job Expectations:
- Collaborate with educational entities in the research, development, implementation, and assessment of modern learning environments that promote technology-enabled, student-centered, research-driven and active and inquiry-based learning pedagogies.
- Develop and write private funding proposals, request letters, partnership agreements, and grant reports.
- Supervise EINStrong Foundation team members in their efforts to support with writing grants and reports, managing contracts, building a pipeline of prospects, and ensuring stewardship of funders.
- Prepares and issues grant-related correspondence including grant agreements, award and declination letters and reporting forms.
- Disseminates announcements of the Foundation's funding opportunities. Maintains outreach database for grant application requests for various funds.
- Logs incoming proposals into the grant making database.
- Processes grant applications as well as grant request approvals and declinations in the database.
- Prepares check requests and performs database entry of payments and requirements.
- Prepares and maintains grant files, ensuring complete information and pertinent documents including reports, background information, IRS letters of determination, fiscal sponsor letters and Memoranda of Understanding.
- Produces the proposal packet for funding cycles including grant making documents, statistical information and grant review team contact information.
- Follows up on outstanding checks and issues requests to re-issue.
- Communicates with prospective grantees for budget information and program details as needed.
- Develop communications strategies for both traditional and social media platforms; produce press releases, op-eds, and other media-related resources.
- Work with network leads and partner organizations to build messaging coalitions on critical issue areas.

Required:
- Strong sense and commitment in leveraging technology to assist people in need across the globe.
- Passionate in their pursuit to provide educational opportunities to the vast majority.
- Prior experience managing a talented team; demonstrated ability to recruit and develop staff with high standards, demonstrating an ability to coach, inspire and lead.
- Ability to understand academic mission and research initiatives, and translate center's research and funding goals to grant proposals. Skill in composing and editing concise and complex proposals and documents.
- Proficient in research, interpreting, and analyzing diverse data and measuring/reaching income goals/needs, including possessing mathematical skills to compute budget, revenue, averages and percentages, and funding limits.
- Synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data; use intuition and experience to complement data; design work flow and procedures. Ability to answer questions, solve problems, and make sound recommendations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, particularly policy and procedure; ability to write reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before faculty, staff, and relevant parties
- Ability to meet deadlines and work cross-functionally
- Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, accuracy and commitment to constituent satisfaction.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and competing priorities.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong project management skills.
Experience Requirements:
- Generally, requires at least 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a nonprofit educational context
- Familiarly with online/virtual educational system
- Experience in Education policy is a plus, but not required
- Experience developing and executing digital advocacy campaigns
- 3 years’ experience in Curriculum design, including student-centered, technology informed, active and inquiry-based teaching and learning methodologies.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
