PaymentCloud is looking for an Data Entry Specialist to join our team. We are currently seeking 1 HIGHLY MOTIVATED candidate for our Data Entry Specialist position. You will be closely supporting our Partners Department. We are looking for a Data Entry Specialist to type information into our database from paper documents. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory. The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through a digital database.

This is an essential part of our organization as Partners brings in new revenue streams and opportunities for our company to grow. We are looking for individuals that can be multifaceted and detail orientated to excel in the job. You will need to possess good communication skills over the phone and via email in order to communicate directly and effectively with our team members.

This position will provide the training and support to nourish the knowledge and growth required to take advanced roles in partnerships and relationship management. The Data Entry Specialist candidate is the link to enable the smooth running of the operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Update existing data
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
  • Record keeping for existing merchant accounts
  • Utilizing office tools such as Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat on a daily basis
  • Navigating multiple system interfaces to transfer information in a timely manner

Essential Qualities:

  • Great attention to detail & confidentiality as it relates to bank account information
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment while staying precise in daily activities
  • Must be able to communicate in a respectful and concise way
  • Exudes respect and positivity in all interactions both inside and outside of the organization
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work across all departments with ease but still work independently
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as data entry clerk
  • Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • B.A. (or experiential equivalent) in Business, Communications, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience
