We’re looking for an experienced manager with a background in nursing to lead our Bay Area operations as the Clinical Operations Manager. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President Marketplace & Operations and working closely with Heal’s Chief Medical Officer and senior clinical team members, the Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day clinical operations of our local market, including management of local medical team members and supplies and supporting market growth efforts. Our local teams consist primarily of clinicians (MD, DO, RN, APN, medical assistants) that provide clinical care via house calls and through large enterprise partnerships. This role may also provide clinical support to the broader Heal Operations as a member of our clinical triage team.

The right candidate will have experience motivating teams, a strong sense of mission, working with urgency and purpose, and a passion for ensuring the delivery of high quality medical care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the local market including ensuring the local market meets or exceeds market goals and objectives and provides an excellent experience to patients and clinicians in the market
• Provide direction and support to local clinical staff including ability to recruit, mentor, develop and engage staff, monitor performance standards, deliver results and hold staff accountable
• Manage local medical assistants and specialists to ensure quality of care; anticipate and resolve patient care issues
• Identifying issues and providing a path to resolve (either directly or by escalating to the appropriate leadership members); working with Heal Operations to identify areas for improvement and optimization
• Work with the medical scheduling team to help anticipate and address coverage needs in the local market
• Manage the local office needs including management of the clinical supplies in the market and any additional market-based equipment (Heal cars, IT equipment, office equipment, etc.)
• Lead and facilitate planning, development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve the overall Heal experience for our patients and clinicians
• Handle issues that require escalation and sound judgment.
• Participate as a member of our clinical triage team that works closely with operations team members to triage clinical questions from patients and clinical staff

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of work experience in a supervisory/managerial role
• Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred though will consider candidates conferred a diploma or ADN with strong management experience in a clinical setting (5+ years)
• Strong demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work well with others
• Ability to own ideas from ideation through implementation
• Cross-functional experience working with multidisciplinary teams
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Familiar with data entry (Excel), Microsoft Office and Powerpoint
