Who we are
HopSkipDrive is a mission-driven company that makes life easier for busy families by getting kids where they need to go safely and dependably. We match families with highly-vetted CareDrivers, who have a minimum of 5 years of childcare experience and must pass a mom-approved, rigorous 15-point certification process, which includes extensive background checks, fingerprinting, DMV checks, driver training, and meeting every single driver in person.
We were founded by 3 working moms who have 8 kids among them and who developed HopSkipDrive as a solution to their own problems getting kids where they needed to go. We are a VC-backed company with investment and involvement from nearly every major LA investor including Upfront Ventures, Greycroft and Pritzker, with more than $20M in funding.

You will be the driving force behind new market launches. You will be responsible for being the first feet on the ground and building up a brand new supply base from scratch while also being ready to drive initial demand for our service. You have an intense drive and work ethic, a passion for our brand and our mission, a ton of enthusiasm for building new enterprises from scratch, an obsession with execution, and a get-things-done attitude.
This position will be reporting initially to the Director of Driver Operations while working very closely with our leading Driver Operations Managers.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience working in operations, engineering, consulting, banking, economics, or product expansion (preferably at another fast-growing tech startup);
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, especially when it comes to meeting with and persuading new clients and stakeholders, and being the ambassador of the HopSkipDrive mission and brand, no matter the environment;
- An excellent business sense and intuitive grasp of new cities, regions and territories being researched for possible HopSkipDrive launches;
- Sound judgment to make on-the-spot decisions on the company’s behalf in new markets;
- The analytical acumen, operational excellence, leadership skills, community building and strategic thinking necessary to establish a healthy marketplace in new cities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create an expansion playbook for the successful launch into new markets
- Oversee the full lifecycle of supply generation in a new market from marketing/ acquisition, recruiting and onboarding
- Ability to analyze large data sets to inform strategic decisions
- Set up a local team and foundation before exiting the market
- Organize and plan driver events
- Be the face of HopSkipDrive in new markets
- Effectively work independently while also collaborating with team members at HQ to meet key performance indicators
