🚀 Ocean Advisor – Operations Strategist
Come join us: a rare opportunity to join Ocean Advisor for our Operations Strategist position - a mission-driven organization at the intersection of AI, climate tech, and marine science.
🎯 The Mission
We’re building a platform to help the global fishing industry fish smarter, not harder, using predictive insights powered by geophysical data, satellite imagery, and machine learning. The goal? Dramatically boost yields while reducing environmental impact.
This isn’t theory -- we’re operating as a joint venture with a shareholding fishing company, ensuring our platform has real-world, high-stakes application from day one.
At Ocean Advisor, economics and sustainability are fundamentally aligned: every smarter fishing decision enhances both profitability and ecological resilience.
A world where every commercial fishing decision is data-backed, driving sustainability, profitability, and resilience across the oceans.
As the primary operational partner to the CEO, you will act as a strategic "right hand" and force multiplier, owning the business scaffolding that allows our founding engineers to build and our leadership to sell.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage core business operations, including marketing, banking, healthcare initial setup, and PEO oversight (ADP) to ensure a seamless foundation for a scaling team.
- Drive high-touch business relationship management by tracking customer contacts and managing follow-up cycles to ensure commercial opportunities never lose momentum.
- Orchestrate organizational synchronization by leading project meetings and translating technical priorities into clear, actionable business workflows.
- Execute brand-consistent external communications, managing social media and marketing assets with high precision and strict adherence to established brand guidelines.
We’re looking for:
- 5+ years of operational or executive-support experience, with a proven track record of reporting directly to high-conviction founders or senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience managing core business functions, such as banking, PEO platforms (e.g., ADP Total Source), healthcare enrollment, and vendor relationships.
- Strong organizational discipline and "follow-through" instincts, particularly in managing business contacts, client follow-up cycles, and project synchronization.
- Ability to move quickly, communicate clearly, and take ownership without heavy process
- Genuine curiosity about sustainability, ocean systems, or applying technology to physical industries
