* The Operations Solution Advisor reports to a Services Management Manager or Supervisor. The Ops Solution Advisors work across CDW's Professional Services, Managed Services, Digital Velocity, ServiceNow Solutions, or Technical Services capabilities. The role supports end-to-end engagement execution translating signed Statements of Work (SOWs) into resourced, compliant and financially accurate projects.
* What you will do
* Convert opportunities to projects by validating estimates, quotes and Statements of Work, approving orders, creating projects in appropriate system, linking funding sources, and completing SOX reviews before execution.
* Manage order changes- validate impacts, update budgets, locations and work codes to drive taxation in PSA tools.
* Execute services engagements, including milestone/billing-schedule management, revenue-recognition date alignment, and timely project closure or cancellation across systems.
* Administer supplier fulfillment by identifying contingent-workforce requirements, vetting new subcontractors, issuing work orders, and monitoring supplier performance, risk and financial health.
* Resolve operational issues by researching partner-portal errors, system data gaps or invoice exceptions.
* Align invoicing to customer systems- reformat invoices for VMS portals, approve billing events, and match supplier invoices to project financials.
* Generate metrics and actionable insights by producing KPI dashboards on pipeline, staffing, billing timeliness, T&E trends and supplier scorecards.
* Lead sourcing-strategy tasks such as CDW-First cost-structure reviews, RFI/RFP consultation and negotiation of escalated billing terms for non-standard deals.
* Drive continuous improvement by documenting recurring pain points, proposing process or automation enhancements, and participating in special projects that streamline quote-to-cash execution.
* Provide time/expense, invoice and credit-memo approvals for assigned accounts, and act as liaison to customers for escalated service or billing inquiries.
* What we expect of you
* Bachelor's Degree and 1 year experience in project management, procurement, finance, or related field OR 5 years experience in project management, procurement, finance, or related field.
* Demonstrated ability to apply industry best practices and leverage both internal and external business knowledge to drive process improvements.
* Advanced problem-solving skills, including the capacity to analyze complex situations, synthesize data from multiple sources, and develop innovative solutions.
* Proven experience integrating cross-functional insights and data to inform effective decision-making.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building collaborative relationships across teams and communicating complex concepts clearly and concisely.
* Deep understanding of service delivery operations, including reviewing SOW terms, negotiating concessions, ensuring SOX compliance, and managing revenue recognition, tax, and commission processes.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the project engagement lifecycle, from opportunity conversion and resource management to supplier engagement, billing, revenue recognition, and project closure.
* Proficiency with key platforms such as Salesforce, Certinia, ServiceNow, Fieldglass, Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools as required.
