We are seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join our team and conduct assessments and studies in support of the United States Space Force at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualified candidates will serve on an analysis team of operations research analysts and operational military subject matter experts. Qualifications should include the ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and clarify management objectives. The analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff.

Experience with military operational assessments and in-depth experience with Space Force missions and operations are highly desired.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in operations research, mathematics, statistics, data science, or other technical field
  • 7+ years of experience
  • General understanding of the United States Space Force missions and operations
  • Willingness to learn about DoD space and joint force programs
  • Creativity and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • High motivation to provide decision-quality information and recommendations to senior leaders
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in operations research or related technical field
  • Knowledge of space operations, space capabilities, or experience in DoD space and joint force programs
  • Familiarity with at least one of the Space Deltas and their respective mission areas
  • Executive briefing skills
  • Experience with Python, R, or other analytic software
  • Experience with software development or the development of web-based applications
  • Experience building analytic dashboards with visualizations of the underlying data

Compensation:

For Colorado: The salary range for this position is approximately $130,000 - $145,000.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Other Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
