About the Role
As Operations Lead for the Executive Arm, you'll serve as the conductor orchestrating our internal and external operations. Your mission is to craft and manage systems that streamline administrative, financial, legal, and team-specific processes, ensuring smooth operations as we scale. You're someone who thrives in decentralized ecosystems, effortlessly manages multiple projects simultaneously, and proactively seeks opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including finance, budgeting, legal compliance, contract management, and general administrative tasks.
- Monitor and manage the expenses of the Executive Arm, regularly reporting financial insights and cost analyses and recommending optimizations directly to the Executive Director.
- Ensure precise inventory management and coordinate logistics and travel arrangements as needed.
Strategic Project Leadership
- Identify and execute strategic initiatives designed to scale our operations from foundational stages (0 to 1) and to capitalize on growth opportunities (1 to 10).
- Proactively seek process improvements, automation opportunities, and efficiency enhancements to drive productivity across all teams within the Executive Arm.
- Implement and oversee project management frameworks that ensure alignment with the DAO's strategic goals.
Cross-team coordination and Community Reporting
- Foster clear and effective communication and alignment across all teams within the Executive Arm, with the Decentraland Foundation, and with external providers and teams, ensuring processes and workflows are transparent and efficient.
- Ensure timely and consistent reporting to the Decentraland community, maintaining standards for format, clarity, and relevance.
- Drive continuous improvement in internal information-sharing tools, systems, and documentation.
Leadership Support
- Support executive leadership with strategic planning, community-facing communications, and organizational administration.
- Manage internal executive processes, such as meetings, stakeholder updates, governance reporting, and alignment sessions, ensuring clarity and accountability.
What you'll bring to the role
- Proven track record in operations, project management, finance or legal planning, and administration.
- Familiarity with finance, budgeting, and, ideally a background in legal and compliance frameworks.
- Deep experience in managing cross-functional projects, particularly in decentralized and community-focused environments.
- Strong skills in workflow automation, process optimization, and operational systems implementation.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities, coupled with proactive problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Great communication abilities, both written and verbal, adept at clearly conveying complex information internally and externally.
