Who We Are

We’re Personified: a managed IT + cybersecurity services provider for campaigns, non-profits, and mission-aligned organizations. Our mission is to lead technology and security programs for our clients, enabling them to focus on their mission-critical work.

We act as an extension of our client teams — we handle all the responsibilities a traditional internal IT team would. We’re in our clients’ Slacks, we’re on a first-name basis with them (and their pets), we’re new hires’ first point of contact, and we’re the first stop for tech and cybersecurity issues. We aim to build trust, and we leverage this to keep the bad actors out.

Some of the biggest names in the progressive space have leaned on us as their trusted IT + cybersecurity partner. We are looking for top IT talent as we continue to scale our team.

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Documentation & Process Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. In this cross-functional role, you will lead efforts to evaluate, standardize, and enhance internal documentation across departments. You'll work closely with leadership to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), audit existing documentation, and implement a reporting framework that highlights departmental contributions and performance.

This is a high-impact role ideal for a consultant with experience in operational excellence, documentation, and process improvement—ideally in fast-paced or technology-focused environments.

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Audit and evaluate current internal documentation across departments
  • Develop clear, standardized SOPs in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Identify gaps in process documentation and recommend improvements
  • Work directly with department leads to understand workflows and translate them into structured documentation
  • Create and implement a scalable reporting structure to surface team outputs, performance, and priorities
  • Ensure documentation is consistent, accessible, and aligned with company goals and compliance standards
  • Recommend tools, templates, and systems to maintain long-term documentation hygiene

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in documentation, process consulting, or operations (contract or in-house)
  • Proven ability to create SOPs, internal documentation, and cross-department reporting tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with leadership and technical teams
  • Experience working in cybersecurity, SaaS, or highly regulated industries preferred
  • Proficiency with documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, Notion, Google Workspace, etc.)
  • Knowledge of reporting frameworks, OKRs/KPIs, and internal audit processes a plus
  • Self-starter with a systems-thinking mindset and high attention to detail

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
