This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Logistics Specialist – Senior to join our team supporting a government client in Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Supply Chain Manager and Enterprise Program Manager in reviewing business systems administration, resources, procedures, and methods to improve operational effectiveness, utility, and efficiency
  • Ensure all site logistics services are delivered, and tasks are performed within established government program guidelines
  • Support warehousing and stock management; Perform all activities necessary to deliver facilities-related and mission support-related materials, supplies, and equipment for customer-supported sites
  • Assist in the identification of areas needing process improvement and recommend cost-saving initiatives associated with their program
  • Interface with customers, departments, contractors, and community to satisfy logistics requirements and resolve issues.
  • Perform requisition, receipt, collection, maintenance, and inventory of property and supplies
  • Perform records maintenance and manual work in the storing, shelving, and distribution of materials, supplies, and other inventoried items
  • Responsible for pickup, delivery, transfer, receipt and inventorying of supplies and goods as required for the efficient operations
  • Proficient in managing inventory and keeping the required accurate and timely records
  • Physical requirements of the job include occasional bending at the waist, lifting up to 70 pounds, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist, walking, occasional exposure to noise, occasional use of face/eye protection, hearing protection, and use of protective footwear

Qualifications Required:

  • HS degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Provides guidance to junior team members
  • Develops trusted relationships with Government leaders and with mission partners
  • Flexible systems thinker with the ability to deliver results quickly
  • Self-starter with effective time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational and communication skills, effective and clear written (and oral) communication ability, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills

Qualifications Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree with over 12 years or more of applicable experience
  • Applicable industry certifications such as Certified Logistics Associate (CLA), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), etc
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and flex to the execution of multiple mission sets across a diverse set of programs and tasks
