Business Intelligence Analyst 

Overview 

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst translates complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role bridges the gap between data and business strategy by gathering, analyzing, and visualizing information to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and develop comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet business requirements 

  • Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources to support decision-making 

  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in large datasets to uncover business insights 

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business questions and translate them into analytical solutions 

  • Develop and maintain documentation for BI processes, metrics definitions, and data models 

  • Optimize data collection procedures and create automated reporting systems 

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across reporting platforms 

  • Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences effectively 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field 

  • 2-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or similar role 

  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or QlikView 

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with databases 

  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes 

  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, functions, and data modeling 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities 

  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex information clearly 

  • Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization techniques 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R 

  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and applications 

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 

  • Understanding of data governance and data quality principles 

  • Industry-specific knowledge (finance, healthcare, retail, etc.) 

 

Estimated total compensation for this position:

70,000.00 – 80,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
