Job Description
The Operational Quality Lead supports the Mission Integrated Solutions Quality team with effective implementation and oversight of the Quality Management System and also works as a subject matter expert on leading operational quality efforts within our Fort Worth and CONUS F-35 and T-45 teams. The role focuses on establishing robust quality governance, developing and maintaining performance metrics and leading on-site operational quality activities.
Responsibilities include;
  • managing and performing internal audits
  • corrective action management
  • ensuring compliance to customer and industry quality requirements
  • addressing risks and issue management through structured processes
  • driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • acting as a key quality link between US Operations and the UK customer team.
  • ensure consistent standards, timely resolution of quality concerns, and sustained performance across all operational activities.
  • role potentially involves a level of travel; i.e. supplier management/audits, depot stand up and supporting on-site customer activities.

Role supports driving growth by providing SME resource to ensure we address ungoverned areas, mitigate risks and add quality concepts across the growing business to ensure efficiency and increase competitiveness. Specifically in ensuring Risk and Opportunities management is robustly reviewed across the business.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelors degree and minimum 6 years of experience or 8+ years of quality experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 6 years working in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Possess strong communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers.
  • Be a visible, influential quality professional who collaborates effectively, remains approachable, and can diffuse high-tension situations.
  • Experience of working with either AS9100 and ISO9001 (including auditing experience).
  • Experience with/or knowledge of root cause and corrective action (RCCA) methodologies.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office and Atlassian products.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Quality certification; issued via ASQ or CQI
  • Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Lean Six Sigma tools: Green Belt / Black Belt Certifications
  • Supply Chain Management and Supplier Management Experience
  • Risk and Opportunity (R&O) Experience
  • Lifecycle Management (LCM) Experience
  • Quality Planning / Contract Requirements Review and Oversight
  • F-35 or fleet sustainment experience

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
