Modio has streamlined the convoluted and messy process that is healthcare credentialing and saved countless years of manual and error-prone work in the process. As part of CHG Healthcare we are working to drastically improve the speed (and quality) of credentialing to ensure that our doctors can spend more time treating (millions) of patients each year and less time dealing with credentialing headaches.

Modio is looking for a Data Specialist 1 to join our Manual Data Services team. The Manual Data Services team is a primary executor of client requests related to data management. These types of requests can come from spreadsheet, pdf, or other document types.  Once these data sources have been provided, each item must be migrated into the corresponding section within the client’s instance of the platform.

As a Level 1 Specialist on the Manual Data Services Team, you will handle tasks with varying turnaround times, communicate any necessary details regarding tasks, and contribute to a daily queue of growing client needs. The primary responsibility of this role is the migration of a client’s larger scale data projects, which can vary in both quantity and length by client.  You will be responsible for seeing each individual task to completion and maintaining a queue of multiple projects at any given time.  Communication and adherence to a priority list is imperative, and being able to pivot to different tasks effectively will be the key to success.  Additionally, you will be responsible for helping maintain our ever-available client request portal, where our end users can submit ad hoc requests related to data currently in their instance, or data they would like added to their instance.  Lastly, our end users can also submit general questions regarding best practices of data, and it will be your responsibility to help guide them to the correct education materials, provide them with an answer yourself, or communicate internally on who may best be able to assist with that request.  This role will report to the OneView Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a daily working queue of client-based requests
  • Perform data migration from various sources into their corresponding and appropriate sections
  • Perform data related tasks from our client request portal
  • Communicate effectively with end users regarding the status of their requests
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers on project statuses

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to independently manage a queue with tasks of varying priorities
  • Ability to effectively problem solve both alone and with peers
  • Effective and clear communication skills

Education & Years of Experience:

  • Experience handling data from multiple sources
  • Bachelor’s or Associates preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Credentialing experience/knowledge
  • Customer service experience

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
