We’re looking for an Onboarding Document Specialist to join our team and help ensure a seamless experience for new retirement plan clients. In this role, you’ll support the onboarding of retirement plans with a focus on plan documentation, accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
You’ll work closely with advisors, plan sponsors, and teams across Strongpoint to keep onboarding moving forward and make sure every detail is handled the right way.
What You’ll DoPrepare, review, and coordinate retirement plan documents, including adoption agreements, plan documents, trust agreements, and related materials
Manage onboarding workflows from initial document preparation through execution and completion
Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with applicable IRS, ERISA, and internal requirements
Partner with advisors, clients, and internal teams to gather information, clarify requirements, and keep onboarding timelines on track
Perform detailed quality checks and identify discrepancies or missing information before documents are finalized
Maintain accurate digital records and documentation tracking throughout the onboarding process
Enter, update, and maintain plan and client information across internal systems
Help identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes, workflows, and overall efficiency
Stay informed on regulatory and industry changes that may impact retirement plan documentation
Collaborate across teams and partner organizations to help deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
1–3+ years of experience in retirement plans, TPA operations, financial services, or a related field
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and workflows
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to take ownership of work from start to finish
Experience working with 401(k), qualified retirement plans, or 3(16) services
Familiarity with IRS and ERISA requirements related to retirement plan documentation
Experience with TPA or retirement plan administration systems such as FT William, Relius, ASC, or PensionPro
ASPPA credentials such as QKA or QKC, or demonstrated progress toward certification
Experience supporting plan onboarding, document preparation, or implementation
