Job Description:

Indorama Ventures is currently looking for an Olefins/NGL Manager to join our Indovinya team located in the Woodlands, TX (with hybrid option). This position will be part of the Direct Procurement Team that supports the Indorama Ventures Oxides Business segments in the U.S. The Olefins/NGL Manager will implement supply strategies to support business strategies. The role will require the candidate to understand the supply and demand dynamics and logistics footprint of the olefin and NGL markets in the U.S and around the world. This position will report directly to the Director of Procurement. This role will require strong analytical, process and interpersonal communication skills.

What will be expected from you?

  • Create/maintain system specific olefin & NGL data, Excel reports and presentations.
  • DOA release responsibility within SAP S4 HANA.
  • An understanding how to navigate within IHS, Argus, Wood Mackenzie publications.
  • Develop budget comparisons vs hedging/trade performance.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Team to understand the monthly balances & production requirements.
  • Understand the key derivatives relationships tied to the olefins and NGL markets.
  • Understand and track the exports/imports and ARB’s to Asian, Europe and South America.
  • Collaborate with the various business units to understand operational needs of the individual business teams and their annual goals.
  • Drive best practices and continuous improvement with a global focus.
  • Manage all the monthly weighted average pricing for all the key olefins and NGL’s
  • Actively involved in negotiating spot and term supply agreements.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, supply chain or business.
  • A take ownership personality.
  • A proactive and a self-starter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • An understanding of pivot tables and how to develop complex Excel spreadsheets.
  • Value proposition driven.

Preferred qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 or more years of experience in the petrochemical or energy industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.
  • Business understanding of commercial operations as well as the downstream value chain.
  • Ability to manage across multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with many stakeholders across multiple functional areas.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written to ensure common understanding.
