Job PurposeThe OCI Engineer is responsible for overseeing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, managing tenants, maintaining security, and supporting application lifecycle changes. This role includes monitoring environment usage, performing golden copy management, enforcing change policies, and ensuring stable operations across ERP Fusion, Accounting Foundation, and related Oracle services. The engineer ensures system reliability, security compliance, and continuity across multiple cloud environments.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Oversee OCI environment usage, monitor performance, and support daily operational workflows.
- Manage multiple OCI tenants that host Oracle ERP Fusion, Accounting Foundation, and related services.
- Create and maintain golden copies while following established change-control policies.
- Serve as the primary contact for onboarding users and administering environment-level security.
- Support implementation activities for new cloud products and applications as they evolve.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to whitelisting, integration failures, and configuration changes.
- Analyze the impact of upgrades, weekly changes, and environment shifts on business operations.
- Maintain compliance with environment policies and ensure secure interaction across tenants.
- Support business continuity planning and assist in evaluating risks and potential disruptions.
- Manage OCI-related integrations, including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and prebuilt applications.
- Understand SaaS and PaaS functionalities to support deployments, upgrades, and cross-platform workflows.
- Provide insight into evolving OCI infrastructure and how ongoing Oracle updates impact system behavior.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and cloud-based integration workflows.
- Knowledge of managing multi-tenant OCI environments and Oracle ERP application structures.
- Ability to perform golden copy creation and follow change-management procedures.
- Experience with environment monitoring, troubleshooting, and security administration.
- Ability to identify potential break points when modifying whitelisting or other environment controls.
- Understanding of SaaS/PaaS application behavior, especially Oracle-hosted products.
- Strong critical-thinking skills for assessing environment impact and preventing disruptions.
- Knowledge of prebuilt Oracle applications that evolve with frequent updates.
- Understanding of business continuity concepts and environment-level risk assessment.
- Experience with Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
- Knowledge of Oracle EPM and its role within multi-tenant cloud environments.
- Experience supporting rapidly changing cloud infrastructures and evolving Oracle services.
- Strong understanding of application-level impacts on business workflows and cloud environments.
