Position Overview

The Nursing Manager supports universities in strengthening nursing programs across the pre- to post-licensure continuum to ensure graduates are prepared not only to succeed academically and on licensure exams, but to enter the workforce as confident, practice-ready nurses who meet healthcare employer expectations.

This role serves as a critical connector between Risepoint’s clinical experts, university partners, healthcare employers, and internal cross-functional teams. The Nursing Manager ensures partners have the tools, training, and guidance needed to deliver high-quality, workforce-aligned nursing education that supports recruitment, retention, and clinical readiness.

Through faculty support, performance monitoring, and program coordination, this role helps translate real-world healthcare workforce needs into academic program improvements that strengthen student success, employer satisfaction, and long-term partner outcomes.

Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorkforce-Aligned Nursing Program Performance

Serve as a bridge between Risepoint nursing experts, university partners, healthcare employers, and internal teams by coordinating priorities, ensuring consistent communication, and translating workforce and academic recommendations into actionable program improvements.

Build and maintain strong relationships with partner universities and clinical employer partners, ensuring programs remain aligned with evolving healthcare workforce needs, clinical practice expectations, and patient care delivery trends.

Support the integration of employer-informed best practices and evidence-based clinical workforce strategies into nursing program delivery.

Act as a key point of contact for internal Risepoint teams by elevating nursing workforce insights that inform product innovation, academic services, and employer partnership strategies.

Utilize technology and program management systems to monitor deliverables, ensure accountability, and escalate workforce or program performance risks in a timely and proactive manner.

Support university partners by strengthening the student experience with a focus on clinical readiness, workforce transition success, and long-term career sustainability.

Drive execution of daily program workstreams that support both academic performance and employer workforce outcomes while enabling Directors to focus on strategic program innovation and workforce design.

Change Management, Workforce Innovation, and Continuous Improvement

Support the analysis of nursing program performance in collaboration with Directors by monitoring retention, persistence, clinical readiness indicators, licensure exam pass rates, and workforce transition outcomes.

Assist in the development and maintenance of performance dashboards that provide visibility into both academic success and employer workforce impact.

Promote evidence-based academic and clinical workforce best practices by reviewing curriculum concerns, identifying practice-readiness gaps, and escalating recommendations for improvement.

Guide faculty and academic partners through adoption of innovative teaching strategies, simulation, clinical integration models, instructional technologies, and workforce-aligned program enhancements.

Lead day-to-day problem solving across partner workstreams while escalating complex workforce or academic challenges to nursing leadership.

Contribute to Academic Services and Products team initiatives through innovation, collaboration, process improvement, and operational excellence.

Faculty Development and Workforce Readiness Education

Coordinate professional development sessions led by Nursing Directors that support faculty understanding of healthcare workforce expectations, clinical competency development, and employer-informed curriculum delivery.

Support training initiatives focused on online learning excellence, clinical practice integration, innovative nursing education approaches, instructional technology adoption, and licensure exam readiness.

Assist with implementation of new teaching methods and program enhancements by guiding faculty and academic stakeholders through change management and adoption of workforce-responsive practices.

Partner Engagement and Employer-University Collaboration

Strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and healthcare employers to ensure alignment between education delivery and clinical workforce realities.

Support proactive partner engagement strategies that enhance satisfaction, transparency, and shared accountability for workforce and academic outcomes.

Facilitate communication across internal and external stakeholders to ensure program improvements remain aligned with healthcare employer priorities and student success.

Additional Position Responsibilities

Perform duties in accordance with Risepoint policies and values

Support Employer First healthcare workforce initiatives across the Healthcare Center of Excellence and Healthcare Solutions teams

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing

2 to 4 years of pre-licensure faculty experience

2 or more years of experience in academic assessment, outcomes monitoring, and program evaluation

2 or more years of experience supporting or delivering online nursing education programs

Active Registered Nurse license in state of residence

Certification in nursing education or healthcare specialty preferred

Skills, Knowledge, and Leadership Competencies
