As a Category Sales Manager - News, you are the connector who drives News sales for an assigned region or set of markets. You are responsible for being knowledgeable of all key partners and staying up to date and reporting industry trends. The Spectrum News Manager of Category Sales serves as leader, assisting with providing training, direction, and overall strategy for news sales. Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Experience: Local broadcast, cable, on-line or print media news sales (3-5 years), leadership experience (3-5 years), sales experience (3-5 years)
  • Skills: communication, leadership, negotiation, research
  • Abilities: Relationship building, sales lead conversion, managing deadlines and priorities, developing new businesses
  • Travel Abilities: Travel as requested. Must have a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record within company required standards, and auto insurance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working or strong familiarity with the News category (1-2 years)
