MovieWeb is a top destination for fans of television and movies, providing engaging and informative coverage of the entertainment industry.

We're looking for writers who are passionate about movies, television, and streaming content, with a strong understanding of what audiences are watching right now

Successful candidates will be able to identify emerging trends, attend advance theatrical screenings and watch digital screenings in advance to develop engaging feature ideas that resonate with readers. They should be comfortable working within an SEO-driven environment, conducting research, and crafting compelling articles that balance search intent with editorial quality. The ideal writer is proactive, creative, and capable of consistently pitching and producing timely content that drives readership and engagement.

Your Responsibilities
  • Write daily feature articles focused on newly released movies and TV shows or trends with editorial support
  • Have a functional understanding of New Release ideation
  • Attend screenings to Identify and pitch timely, trend-driven content ideas related to recent releases and audience interests
  • Analyze entertainment trends, streaming performance, social media conversations, and audience engagement patterns
  • Conduct research to produce informative, accurate, and engaging content
  • Apply SEO best practices to maximize discoverability and readership
  • Comfortable meeting deadlines
  • Ensure timely publication of relevant content aligned with SEO and engagement goals
  • Follow guidelines rigorously

Experience and Skills
  • At least 3 years experience in digital journalism or online publishing
  • Strong feature writing and storytelling abilities
  • Ability to identify trends and develop compelling article concepts independently
  • Solid understanding of movies, television, streaming platforms, and current pop culture trends
  • Familiarity with SEO principles, keyword research, and content optimization
  • Experience using CMS platforms and digital publishing tools
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail
