Job Duties
- Provide courteous and patient explanations of various types of accounts and services that the Bank providers to best accommodate customer needs.
- Establish proper identification of the new customer. Verify if the customer is eligible to open accounts with us. Consult with supervisor for approval if further approval is needed to open or refuse to open new accounts.
- Must maintain a good working knowledge of Bank's existing, new products and services offered.
- Comply with all Bank policies in handling/opening all accounts including all interest and noninterest bearing accounts and safe deposit boxes.
- Properly order checks and other related supplies for customers.
- Answer all inquiries regarding interest rate, depository accounts, and other services that Bank offers. New Accounts Representative is also responsible to redirect all loan inquiries to the branch loan department.
- Filing new account reports, new/closed signature and new accounts documentation and information sheet.
- Promptly follow up on pending documentation and maintain all accounting logs and files.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned by management.
Qualifications
- 1 year or more experience as a New Accounts Representative at a financial institution.
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English.
- Excellent customer service and sales skills.
- Basic PC knowledge.
- Attention to detail and mathematical skills.
- Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills.
