About the Role

Atlas Marine is seeking an experienced Network Optimization Planner with strong port and drayage operations experience to support high-volume planning and capacity management within our Savannah market.

This role is responsible for aligning freight demand, driver availability, and equipment resources to maintain an efficient and balanced market capacity plan. You will work closely with Terminal Managers, Capacity teams, and service providers to ensure the network operates efficiently while supporting new business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Balance freight demand and driver capacity across the market planning horizon

  • Work with Capacity and Terminal Managers to maintain a balanced Market Capacity Plan

  • Coordinate onboarding of new business with Terminal Managers, planning driver and chassis needs based on customer requirements

  • Use automation tools to tender work to service providers in bundles of productive workdays

  • Lead daily Market Planning calls reviewing demand forecasts, driver capacity, and operational risks

  • Maintain accurate system records including driver preferences, availability, start times, and work schedules

  • Ensure operational systems are updated with accurate information related to drivers, chassis, containers, and scheduling to maintain cost control and operational efficiency

  • Build strong relationships with owner-operators, carriers, and service providers

  • Proactively identify and resolve shipment issues, delays, or operational constraints

  • Provide strong customer service to internal teams, drivers, and external partners

  • Utilize Cargomatic’s proprietary systems to manage daily operational planning and load management

  • Support operational and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in port or drayage dispatch operations

  • Strong understanding of drayage operations, container flow, and dispatch planning

  • Ability to manage high-volume operations in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical and operational decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to prioritize multiple operational tasks and deadlines

  • Experience working with transportation management systems or logistics software preferred

  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000 annually

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, training, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.
