Description of Role: As the backbone of the flow of information in and out of the firm, the network administrator will play a crucial role in helping to maintain and evolve the firm’s IT Infrastructure.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Expertise in network infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Experience with network security technologies and protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection, VPNs, and network access control services.
- Identify and remediate network bottlenecks and other issues.
- Implement and enforce security best practices to protect our networks and infrastructure.
- Maintain IT Infrastructure with System Administrator (Security, Storage, and VMware environment).
- Apply upgrades and security patches to all network devices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases for system documentation, including standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Evaluate and recommend new solutions, tools, and methodologies to enhance network efficiency, security, and productivity.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in network administration.
- Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
- While not required, any certifications in industry relevant technologies (Ex: CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE) would be preferred.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- High attention to detail, proactive, and responsive.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols.
