Who You Are:

Galaxy is looking for a Systems Architect with strong background in network engineering within financial services, high-frequency trading, or other ultra-low latency environments. You have a deep understanding of routing and switching protocols as well as network monitoring tools. You are a problem-solver and love working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Architect and optimize multicast and unicast LANs and WANs to support high-frequency trading applications with minimal latency.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain network automation tools to streamline network configuration, monitoring, and performance analysis.
  • Identify and mitigate potential sources of network latency; continuously optimize infrastructure to meet low-latency trading requirements. 
  • Implement advanced monitoring solutions to track network performance and troubleshoot issues in real-time, ensuring high availability and reliability with the lowest possible latency.  
  • Work closely with trading, development, and infrastructure teams to understand business requirements and align network infrastructure to meet performance and scalability needs.
  • Provide technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex network issues, particularly related to latency and traffic drops
  • Liaise with network hardware and software vendors to ensure optimal solutions and upgrades for high-performance trading environments.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience low latency interconnects and design.
  • In depth knowledge hardware and operating systems
  • Storage area network design and support
  • 8+ years’ experience of design, implementation, maintenance, & troubleshooting of medium to large fleets.
  • Experience integrating and maintaining cloud platform networks (AWS, GPC, Azure, etc.), and managing server configurations and deployments as code
