Under direction, provides configuration and implementation assistance with the Logic Monitor application. The application will monitor and provide alarms for the activities associated with CenterPoint Energy’s Smart Grid, Telecommunications MPLS, and Corporate Network as well as point-to-point dedicated circuits. 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
•       MIB translations - take alerts and translate the OID message into recognizable wording
•       Create alert rules for devices and set priority and define escalation chain. This will define who and how the team is alerted.
•       Import the vendor MIBS - translate the device logs - create the logs in Logic Monitor application.
•       Provide support, testing, and troubleshooting to technical alerts by triggering alarms in the field. Ex. Triggering open door alert and verifying corresponding message in the ticketing system.
•       Alert matching – verify that alerts in the existing monitoring system OpenText “Network Node Manager – NNMi” are also visible in Logic Monitor.
•       Create sites and add devices into the created sites. Ex. Create site associated to substation name and add devices such as router, switch, power bank, radios, DPS, dehydrator, etc.
•       Effectively communicate project related problem status to leadership, team members, and Logic Monitor support groups.
•       Open trouble tickets and work with Logic Monitor team for technical assistance beyond expertise of the Network Control team.
