WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

Our ideal candidate would be an organized, diligent, and team-oriented individual who is able to work directly with creditors to build rapport and obtain the best settlements for our clients' unsecured debt. They will excel in effective communication and are willing to go above and beyond their day-to-day duties to enhance the Company’s revenue.

  • Work independently and effectively with internal and external legal support staff to resolve lawsuits filed against our clients. 
  • Unrelenting ability to follow up on escalated matters seeking resolution every step of the way. 
  • Completed 75 or more settlements in a calendar month. 
  • Handle escalated calls regarding the legal process, provide outstanding customer service and guidance without giving legal advice. 
  • Review client banking accounts to determine funds necessary to complete settlement and payment of Company fees. 
  • Contact attorney offices in order to negotiate on clients' behalf for a reduced settlement to avoid the account from entering judgment, garnishment or liens being placed on our clients’ home. 
  • Team cooperation with peers in the Attorney Liaisons Department.
  • Confirm important file dates and/or due dates and hearing dates are not missed.
  • Update the CRM with notes and to inform attorney liaisons of settlement offers on assigned legal accounts.
  • While all Negotiations Department members will have a minimum number of monthly settlements required for their position, KPI’s are subject to change on a monthly basis based on business needs. KPIs include but are not limited to, Number of Settlements, Settlement Percentage (original & verified), Completion Rate, Penetration Rate, QC fails, Quality metrics (Call Monitoring, Account Accuracy), number of calls made, Talk Time, and other metrics measuring the work effort. KPI expectations will be provided to the Negotiators by the 3rd business day of each month. 
  • Close attention to detail and ability to apply policies, procedures, and guidelines to a variety of situations.
  • A high degree of initiative, focus, and urgency.
  • Follow all policies and procedures for the department and Company, including personnel policies and expectations as outlined in the Employee Handbook. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Previous debt settlement experience is a plus. 
  • Strong math skills preferred. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box to get the job done. 
  • Electronic phone system and CRM experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated desire to succeed with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is a must.

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday 
Location: Irvine, CA & Remote opportunities available for those with 2+ years of Negotiations experience.
