  • Develop and execute a sales and profitability plan for the assigned territory that aligns with management plan objectives
  • Expand Elevator and Escalator sales (depth and breadth) within existing accounts
  • Identify and target new prospects
  • Manage activity of Sales Agents supporting Elevator and Escalator Sales
  • Coordinate sales activities with global counterparts where customer’s have global sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing to build sales opportunities
  • Promote and facilitate business reviews, product training, and plant tours with customers, prospects, and industry organizations to support the sales strategy
  • Utilize Regional Distribution Centers to enhance service to market
  • Support Authorized Stocking Distributor efforts in maintaining and attaining new accounts
  • Be the subject matter expert on the market, on customers, their decision makers, their sourcing strategy and their key products
  • Recommend and lead cross-functional teams in developing product and service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential
  • Anticipate customer needs and questions and be proactive in finding and presenting solutions
  • Manage expectations with customers
  • Develop and maintain cadence of customer touch points (meetings, calls, marketing, and email communication)
  • Develop and deliver oral and written presentations to customers and prospects
  • Coordinate resolution of customer issues with appropriate internal resources (Customer Care, Product Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Credit etc.)
  • Support Business Unit in keeping AR below target levels
  • Assist product managers with pricing decisions, product introduction, inventory decisions and forecasting
  • Communicate new pricing, product and related industry information to customers and prospects timely
  • Lead sales efforts of slow moving inventory
  • Collect forecasts from customers and summarize the details to communicate changes in ordering trends
  • Communicate market updates internally
  • Update CRM with Customer contact information, RFP opportunities, and key communication notes (including customer meeting notes)
  • Be proactive in leading initiatives to create or improve processes and tools that allow us to serve the market effectively
  • Participate in regional trade shows; maximizing impact by scheduling meetings with existing and potential customers during trade shows and conferences
  • Prepare and distribute necessary management, sales or customer reports
  • Responsible for Draka EHC NORAM regional sales contracts with customers and distribution partners.   Provide NORAM voice of customer as required in conjunction with Global OEM agreements
  • Manages up communicating activity related to the responsibilities of the Sales Manager role
