Job Summary:The Music Choral Director is responsible for leading and inspiring the school's choral program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education and have a deep understanding of vocal technique and repertoire.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Music Instruction:- Plan and coordinate choral performances for Kingdom Kids, Joyful Sounds, and Choral Workshop, including Grandparents’ Day and the Christmas Program.
- Teach vocal techniques and music theory to choir members.
- Select an appropriate repertoire that aligns with the choir’s skill level and goals.
- Organize and coordinate choral events.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.
- Stay current with trends in choral music and music education, incorporating new methodologies and technologies.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to teachers and administration.
- Maintain communication with students, parents, and the community regarding performances and expectations.
- Collaborate with staff to integrate choral music into the broader curriculum.
- Plan, develop, produce, direct, choreograph, and coordinate a once yearly music theatre production including Joyful sounds and choral workshop in the spring.
- Experience with diverse musical genres and styles.
- Familiarity with digital music tools and technology for education.
- Knowledge of vocal health and techniques.

- Bachelor’s degree in music education, Choral Conducting, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Experience conducting choirs at the [elementary/middle/high school/community] level.
