We’re looking for problem solvers, innovators, and dreamers who are searching for anything but business as usual. Like us, you’re a high performer who’s an expert at your craft, constantly challenging the status quo. You value inclusivity and want to join a culture that empowers you to show up as your authentic self. You know that success hinges on commitment, that our differences make us stronger, and that the finish line is always sweeter when the whole team crosses together.

If you're a graphic design Swiss Army Knife and your superpower is creative flexibility, paired with strong technical execution, we’re looking for you! Join the Content & Creative Studio at Alteryx and help shape our next chapter.

With your extensive B2B tech experience, you’ll work with our Brand and Creative Manager to deliver on-brand, high-impact creative across marketing and corporate initiatives. Your work will span a wide range of digital and offline touchpoints, grounded in strong branding, campaign consistency, and visual storytelling.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Multimedia Graphic Designer, you’ll be responsible for designing and producing a broad mix of assets across channels, formats, and teams. You will:

Creative & Design Execution

  • Develop motion and animated assets including short-form and explainer videos, animated social posts, display ad animations, GIFs, transitions, and light kinetic typography.

  • Design static marketing assets including digital ads, banners, social posts, email headers, landing page graphics, and web visuals.

  • Video production including screen captures, basic storyboarding, and post-production clipping and editing.

  • Produce print and digital collateral such as white papers and e-books, sales & marketing collateral, and large-format event graphics.

  • Develop creative “packages” from these core assets that allow them to be repurposed and promoted across multiple platforms.

  • Translate verbal concepts into polished presentation decks (PowerPoint) for internal, executive, and external audiences.

  • Create and maintain brand assets and visual systems such as icons, infographics, templates, photography overlays, and modular design components

  • Collaborate in conceptual ideation and campaign storyboarding with content, social, PR, events, and cross-functional partners

Process Management & Design Execution

While highly creative, you’re also organized, detail-oriented, and client-minded. You bring structure to creativity and confidence to execution by:

  • Helping manage and evolve internal creative infrastructure, including SharePoint and managing our Bynder DAM instance, managing taxonomy and best practices, and ensuring that assets are systematically added and accurately managed.

  • Ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints while adapting creative for different formats, sizes, and platforms

  • Coordinating with external vendors such as printers, animators, and video editors as needed

  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Participating in creative reviews, feedback cycles, and QA—checking alignment, resolution, file specs, compliance, and overall quality

  • Contributing ideas for new design systems, formats, motion concepts, and workflow improvements

Collaboration & Creative Culture

At Alteryx, new ideas are always welcome. While stewarding and evolving the brand, you’re not shy about sharing fresh design and motion approaches. You’ll work hand-in-hand with colleagues across content, PR, events, social, and marketing to translate strategy into visual executions that are not only beautiful, but effective.

You’re a natural problem-solver who enjoys learning new tools and researching how to get things done—especially when something new lands in your queue. You thrive in a collaborative, positive, and fun creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Design and produce videos, animations, interactive elements, infographics, and digital graphics.

  • Collaboration: Work with marketers, content creators, developers, and stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.

  • Conceptualization: Develop storyboards, mockups, and initial concepts for multimedia projects.

  • Production: Utilize animation, video editing, and graphic design software to create final assets.

  • Editing & Polishing: Assemble footage, edit audio, color correct, and ensure high visual quality.

  • Optimization: Adapt content for different devices and platforms (web, mobile, social).

  • Brand Adherence: Ensure all work aligns with brand guidelines and aesthetic standards.

  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and provide progress updates.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate/in-house or agency graphic design

  • A strong portfolio showcasing diverse multimedia projects.

  • Software Proficiency: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro), video editing tools (Final Cut Pro).

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, UI/UX principles, and potentially 3D software.

  • Creative Skills: Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and storytelling.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, or related field.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
