Job Description

The Role 

The Assistant will provide support to an Executive in CAA’s Motion Pictures Business Affairs Department. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, with a desire to pursue a career in the business and/or legal aspects of the entertainment industry. 

Responsibilities 

  • General clerical and administrative duties include answering phones, meeting and schedule coordination, preparing expense reports, producing correspondence, and travel coordination.
  • Maintain an awareness of the Executive’s obligations (internal and external) in order to proactively assist and/or anticipate needs. 
  • Effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels. 

Qualifications 

  • Emphasis on people who may want to go to law schoolpursue an MBA, or someone interested in a career in representation 
  • 1+ years of administrative assistant experience at a talent agency, management companystudio, production company, and/or entertainment law firm. Interest in pursuing a career in entertainment law/business affairs a plus. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure; meet tight deadlines; manage multiple projects and expectations; and maintain a sharp focus while managing competing priorities. 
  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills are a must. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, while understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality. 
  • Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite and in particular Word, Excel & PowerPoint. 
  • Adept at quickly learning new processes and technology.

On-Site in Los Angeles, CA, United States 

Education

  • BA/BS from an accredited University or College preferred.

Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $20.00-22.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
