Littlebird is building a personal AI that connects your entire digital life, protecting your focus from clutter and surfacing what you need, the moment you need it. We're a small, async-first team that cares deeply about craft and the details that most people skip over. Check out the recent TechCrunch news on our $11M seed funding and what users are saying about the product.
Our team is well-funded, small and growing - this is a great time to join and contribute to foundational aspects of our growth! Littlebird is remote-first; we speak a few languages, love to collaborate, and like to build things that we enjoy using.
We're looking for a talented Motion Designer to join the Littlebird marketing team and own the visual and video side of our brand. You'll be responsible for creating compelling short-form videos, paid social ads, and marketing assets across all our channels - from concept to final output. This means motion graphics, animated ads, product demo videos, and static design assets like social carousels and display ads.
You're someone who obsesses over craft - your work looks and feels premium, your animations are tight, and you have a natural eye for what makes a piece of content stop a scroll.
You're equally comfortable in After Effects as you are in Figma or Illustrator, and you've built a portfolio that spans both motion and static work. Critically, you're already using AI tools - whether that's RunwayML, Pika, Sora, ElevenLabs, or whatever's dropped this week - to move faster and punch above your weight creatively. We're an AI company and we expect our creative team to be on the bleeding edge of what's possible with these tools, not catching up to it.
We're a fast-growing startup leaning heavily on performance creative to grow, so we want someone excited to learn what makes ads convert, not just look good. You'll work closely with the marketing team to bring campaigns to life quickly and iteratively, so being scrappy, fast, and self-directed matters just as much as great taste.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional design experience in a startup or 0-1 environment
- A strong, unique visual style and a portfolio that proves it. That's it. That's the bar.
- Proficiency with contemporary design tools and methods such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop) and Figma
- Experience creating content for paid social (Meta, TikTok, YouTube) is a big plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Benefits
- Competitive compensation packages including stock and health/dental/vision/life benefits, and optional 401k for all US employees. Our posted salary range for this role represents US Tier One locations.
- Remote-friendly work environment, with flexible working hours across multiple time zones
- Paid time off and parental leave
- Collaborative team culture
The base pay range for this role is $120,000 – $185,000 per year.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene
Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
