The thermal engineering intern at Millennium Space Systems will support thermal analysis and test efforts for our spacecraft and avionics. This will include using thermal analysis software to build, validate, and run thermal models, as well as oversee test planning, setup, execution, and report generation. The thermal engineering intern will support one or more of our active satellite programs, contributing to our company goal of delivering advanced satellite constellations to our customers.

Additionally, some positions may require the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Over the course of our 10-12 week internship experience you will have the opportunity to:
- Build, validate, analyze, and post-process thermal models in Thermal Desktop / SINDA
- Plan, setup, execute, and generate post-test reports for thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing of spacecraft components
- Support Thermal Vacuum testing of Spacecraft (SCTV)
- Assist program Thermal Responsible Engineering Authorities with documentation and model post-processing
- Attend team and program meetings, provide status on project(s) to appropriate stakeholders

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer (with focus on conduction and radiation)
- Pursuing a degree in an Engineering field (ex: Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Energy, Materials, etc.)
- Proficiency in at least one CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), and MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2026
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above)
- Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations
- Strong technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research or engineering internships
- Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to engineering, aerospace and a career with Boeing
- Junior or Senior class standing
