Department Overview
The PremierOne CAD and Mobile team develops software for public safety organizations to manage emergency dispatch and reporting. The team is part of the Motorola Global Products organization which builds secure, scalable and reliable on-premise and cloud based products to serve public safety and enterprise markets throughout the world providing sophisticated and customized workflows and cost effective solutions to municipalities of all sizes.
Job Description

The Role Work as a key member of the Forward Deployed Engineering team, ensuring the success of our public safety customers. You will join a high-performance technical team dedicated to solving complex problems by performing deep-dive code analysis, root cause determination, and developing robust software solutions. You will work closely with the broader engineering organization to drive improvements in the functionality, stability, and performance of our PremierOne CAD and Mobile products.

Key Responsibilities

  • C#/.NET Development: Design, develop, and refactor enterprise-grade code using C# and the .NET ecosystem.

  • SQL Server Engineering: Analyze complex SQL Server environments, write high-performance stored procedures, and optimize queries for large-scale datasets.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Troubleshoot complex customer scenarios, analyzing memory dumps, logs, and stack traces to identify and fix bottlenecks.

  • Collaboration: Partner with customer support and product teams to deliver patches and feature enhancements.


Basic Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science (or related technical equivalent).

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.

  • Advanced English proficiency.

  • Strong C#/.NET Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency with C#, .NET Framework (or .NET Core), and Visual Studio. You must be comfortable with Object-Oriented Design (SOLID principles), multi-threading, and asynchronous programming.

  • Strong SQL Server Proficiency: Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server. You must be able to write complex T-SQL, create stored procedures, and understand database normalization.

Technical Qualifications

  • Architecture: Experience with Client-Server and Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA).

  • Data Access: Experience with ADO.NET, Entity Framework, or Dapper.

  • SQL Performance: Ability to read execution plans and perform query optimization/tuning is highly critical for this role.

  • Desktop/Services: Experience developing Windows Services and WCF.

  • UI Development: Proficiency with WinForms, WPF, or similar C# UI frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)

  • Experience analyzing memory dumps (WinDbg) and troubleshooting performance leaks.

  • Experience with version control systems (Git/TFS).

  • Background in Public Safety software or high-availability systems.
